ADE 2026 Beat Contest

A live, one-day beat-making contest at ADE. Producers sit down at a station (computer + sampler/gear provided), make a beat in 1–10 minutes, and walk away. After ADE, the beats are posted publicly and the audience votes. The winner receives a prize bundle spanning hardware, software, and a distribution/release opportunity.

  • What is the ADE 2026 Beat Contest?

    A live, one-day beat-making challenge at Amsterdam Dance Event. You sit down at a fully equipped station, make a beat in 10 minutes or less, and walk away. After ADE, every beat goes online for the public to vote on.

  • When and where is it happening?

    At Fosbury & Sons, on Friday, October 23rd, from 1–5 p.m., during ADE 2026. You can drop in any time during that window, or during your specific time slot.

  • How long do I get to make my beat?

    Anywhere from 1 to 10 minutes. Short sketch or full idea, it’s up to you, but the clock stops at 10.

  • Do I need to bring my own gear?

    No, but you can! Each station has a computer and hardware ready to go, including gear from Arturia and plugins from Just 4 Noise. Just bring your ideas. Feel free to bring your own headphones.

  • Who can enter?

    No ADE pass required. Producers of all levels are welcome, from bedroom beatmakers to touring artists.

  • How do I sign up?

  • Is it free to enter?

    Yes, entry is free.

  • What happens to my beat after I make it?

    We record the audio of your beat and a video of you making it. After ADE, all entries are published for public voting.

  • How is the winner chosen?

    Public voting decides the top 5. Then the Abbey Road team picks the final 2 from those.

  • What can I win?

    The prize bundle includes: • A discounted ADE 2027 pass (ADE) • Free hardware and plugins (Arturia) • Just 4 Kicks (Just 4 Noise) • A free subscription to mixing and mastering tools (RoEx) • 12 months free on UM SELECT distribution and artist development (United Masters)

  • Do I get anything just for taking part?

    Yes. Every participant gets a discount from United Masters, Just 4 Noise, and other partners.

  • Who’s behind the contest?

    The contest is brought to you by Just 4 Noise, together with ADE, Arturia, RoEx, United Masters, and Abbey Road.

  • Who owns the beat I make?

    You keep the rights to your beat. By entering, you allow the partners to publish the audio and video of your session for voting and promotion.

  • Can I enter more than once?

    One entry per person.
